6th Session of Boi-Soi Samiti

  Time flies in such a way that we were sitting on the 6 th Book-Talk which was held on 30 th Jan at 2pm in Rabindra Neer. This session was indeed special for its diversity in the book talk. On the opening ceremony, Ankita Samanta, the member of Boi-Soi Book club gave us, the book wormers, a warm welcome and made us aware that today’s book talk was different as for the first time a translated version of book was going to be presented in front of us. Also, today we would be enlightened with a religious text. The very first book talk was given by Basanti Bera , a student of Computer Science (H) of 3 rd Year on the Book named “Blood Sister” written by Kim Yideum . IT was exciting as we learnt that it was a Korean novel which had been translated into English. The book dealt with systemic sexism, gendered violence, and social pressure in South Korea.
